CodeTAP-386EX Hardware-Enhanced Debugger

CodeTAP-386EX uses custom ASIC technology and patented engineering to provide all the features software engineers need to speed products to market without the high cost of large emulators. CodeTAP-386EX clips directly onto the target processor, providing immediate C/C++ debugging. The Soft-Scope debugger interface runs with Microsoft* Windows on the host PC, for powerful debugging and the efficiency of a multi-windowed graphical environment.
The integral high speed serial communications port offers fast code downloads and data displays without using target system resources or requiring special programming. Optional overlay memory substitutes for up to 1 MB of target ROM, freeing the engineer from time-consuming PROM programming cycles.
Built-in software and hardware execution breakpoints and address comparators let users set breakpoints anywhere in ROM or RAM for complete control of the target application. The trace memory option tracks code execution in real-time, for a clear view of execution history. Instead of spending time hunting for possible bug causes, engineers can set breakpoints on a symptom and quickly follow the execution trace track back to the bug¦s source.
